My Background
I’m from a small town in northern Maryland called Rising Sun. I spent my whole life growing up in the town, from riding my bike up and down my street, to preforming at the local Street Lamp Productions Theater.
In 2016, my grandmother would marry my step grandfather, who used to drive an old NASCAR race car in a series called the SVRA. This is what got me hooked into the sport that would take over my life. In 2017 I would become a NASCAR fan and would continue to follow the sport for the next 9 years and counting. This love of NASCAR has even influenced my education career, as I am currently a Towson University Mass Comm major in hopes of becoming a NASCAR journalist.
Working Experience
I have had a paying job of some variety since I was around 15 years old.
In 2021 I started my job as a summer camp counselor for a Scouting of America camp called Camp Ware. There, I made lifelong friends and learned how to start working in the work force. I would stay there for two summers before leaving in 2022.
After Ware, I would go looking for a newer, higher paying job. At this time a brand-new Great Wolf Lodge in Perryville Maryland would finish its construction and would be in need of lifeguards. I would work there for a whole year and even featured in one of their newest ads (first lifeguard in the background).
I would leave Great Wolf Lodge for a big summer road trip down Route 66 and to start the last leg of my education career at Towson University. Early in my first semester, I went looking for a job on campus and landed at the Center For The Arts as an Event Staff, where I work to this day.
The Many Accomplishments of 2024
2024 was one of my most accomplished years of my life. To start, I would graduate from Cecil College‘s Early College program with an associate’s in general education and communications. I first started this program during the pandemic in 2020 and worked through several different classes such as Statistics and Video Production 101. Right after I walked the stage to grab my paper, I would go to my Eagle Scout Court of Honor. I had been working towards my Eagle rank since 2016. I have been on several camping trips, summer camp weeks, and was even elected Senior Patrol Leader for a year. For my Eagle Scout Project, I set up and ran a Pinewood Derby for the children in the Nemours Children’s Hospital. After that, I would go down Route 66 for a majority of the summer, getting to discover and learn about what was in our big, beautiful nation. When I came back home, I would prepare to study Mass Communications at Towson University, where I am today. During Halloween 2024, I would get to interview infamous NASCAR journalist Bob Pockrass for a class project.
As of right now, that’s where I’m currently at! Expect this to be updated throughout the years.
